At CME, we formulate and manufacture quality composite materials with high strength-to-weight ratios. These find application in a broad range of industries--especially those where weight reduction is of primary concern.

Industries that can benefit from the use of such materials include:
• Automotive
• Building and construction
• Electrical and electronic
• Food manufacturing
• Marine
Composite materials typically comprise a polymer resin base reinforced with a fibre matrix. This matrix is tailored to suit the application and can take on a range of forms, from short chopped fibreglass to continuous woven glass or carbon fibre.
Three generic polymer types exist:
• SMC - Sheet moulded compound
• DMC - Dough moulded compound
• GMT - Glass mat thermoplastic
All our products are manufactured in Australia from these three compounds, at our headquarters situated just outside Melbourne.
We have three manufacturing plants offering turnkey solutions that incorporate compounding, moulding, finishing, painting and assembly.
These facilities are complemented by our extensive technical support services, which include a materials laboratory, a metrology office, an engineering centre, extensive CAD systems and a dedicated tooling design area.
Being a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry and an active exporter
of composite products worldwide, we hold TS-16949, Ford Q1 and ISO 14001
quality certification.
